     Hello fishermen; Sorry about the updating of my reports, my computer has been down. Will keep up on it from now on. I am now fishing on the Chetco river on the coast for Steelhead. The fishing has been pretty good with limits just about every day. We are seeing a lot of fish around 7 pounds and they are mostly hatchery. This is good to see and is normal for this time of year. The whole river is fishing about the same with no fish in just in one part of the river. Have not seen to many big Steelhead yet but we did have a monster on the other day. I think it was up over 17 pounds, we had very good looks at it as we had it next to the boat a lot of times. But playing a fish for a long time things go wrong and our leader broke on one of his last run just out of reach of my net. Oh well that is fishing. It is out there for some other lucky fishermen. We had plenty of water earlier with all the rain we got but now we need more rain. The river is getting low and clear. At this time the river is at 1200 cfs and droping every day. We have some rain coming just hope it is enough. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; Have been fishing on the upper Klamath river and doing very good. We have had a lot more water then normal. The normal hieght is 950cfs but about 12 days ago they put it up to 1790cfs so about twice the flow. This put the fish off for a few days but after that they started to bite again. We were still getting 4 to 10 fish a day and after that 10 or more a day. Than last night they droped it back down to 920cfs, all in one night. Thought it would put the fish off again but today it was awsome. We started a little slow but after it got light the fish went on the bite. I think we hooked 30 fish and landed 23, not a bad day. So the fishing should be good for another week or so. We are seeing a lot of Steelhead already, which is great. I caught 3 the other day which is a lot for this time of year. So I am looking to have a great season for the Steelhead. Hope to see you in the river.

  Hello fishermen; Well we had agreat season on the lower Klamath River. The number of fish we caught was better then we have seen in a few years. The size of the fish was great also, saw a lot of 20 pounders and bigger. The only bad part of the season was that fish and game gave us a very low quota. They thought it was going to be a tough year so they only gave us 2000 fish for the lower river. We reached that on the 4th of Sept. so we could only keep Jacks after that. We let a lot of big fish go just trying to catch Jacks, which is 22 inches and below. The fish and game need to have something in place so they can change the quota in mid season but that would be saying that they were wrong??? Did see many days with limits of Jacks, but at the same time letting a lot of adults go. It is still a lot of fun. I am now on the upper Klamath fishing for the Salmon I missed on the lower river. The fishing is already pretty good. The fish started showing up around the 20th of Sept. and have been coming in pretty steady. I have been catching 6 to 10 fish a day and this will only get better as more fish come in. They will stop us from keeping adults after the 10th of this month. So again we will be letting a lot of big fish go,but still a lot of fun. We are also seeing a few steelhead already which is a good sign for our later season. Hope to see you on the river.

  Hello fishermen; The fishing on the lower Klamath river has been great. We have been getting limits every day. It is 100% better then last year already. They did lower our limits to one adult fish and two jacks and our Quota is lower, but at least there are fish. We are seeing some pretty nice size Salmon also and some good Steelhead. I have been getting all my fish drifting bait and a puff ball and have not even tried a plug yet. It is great we are just starting our season and it is this good. Shows that we should have a great season on the upper river in Oct. We may hit our quota soon but that means we can only keep jacks but there are a lot of them out there.The Klamath river is the place to be fishing. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; Have been fishing in Alaska the for the past few months so have not had a way to up date the fishing report. Had some great fishing on the Nushagak and the Naknek Rivers. The Kings were really good on the Nush and the Sockeye was the best on the Naknek and of course we had to put up with a million pinks this year. So it was about 50 pinks for every silver we were looking for. Now I am back in CA and getting ready to start fishing the lower KLamath River for Salmon. The fihing has been pretty good for the steelhead and there are a few Salmon coming in now. The river is a little low but is fishing good. We are just getting a lot of smoke along the river with all the fires burning up here. The fishing should get better as we get to the end of the month and into Sept. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; We are getting to the end of our Steelhead fishing. The Chetco river is closed now and the Smith will be at the end of April. The season was a tough one this year, with no rain for a lot of the season then to much at the end. There were a lot of fish out there when we could fish. Did not catch a lot of big fish, my biggest was 17 pounds, but a lot around 10 pounds. It was a good thing we had the Umpqua river. It was fishable when all the others had no water. So I spent a lot of the season there and did well. The great thing about that river is that it is still fishing good now. I fished it this last weekend and did great when the water level was good. Our best day we hooked 10 and landed 9 of them. Most fishermen think there are just downers this time of year but that is not true for this river. Four of the fish we landed were fresh fish. This good fishing will go through April when the river is not to high. I will also start Trout fishing here soon when the weather gets warmer. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; Well the winter rains are finally here. Going from one extreme to another, having not enough water to more then we need. Now sitting at the house and whatching the rivers flood. The fishing should be good when the rivers do come down. Hopefully within a few days they will be fishing. Hope to see you on the river.

    Hello fishermen; The Steelhead fishing this year has been pretty tough. We have not had enough rain to even float on most the rivers I fish. This year we have only had rain two times that brought the river up and some fish in. so I have been traveling to fish on the Umpqua river. This river at least has some water to float. I have been fishing on the middle river around Elkton. We have been catching fish every day, with a few better then others. Most the Steelhead are around 8 pounds but we are seeing a few in the upper teens and one over 20 pounds. This river will fish into April. At this time the Smith and Chetco rivers do not have enough water to even float. This is the worest winter for rain that I have ever seen in all my years of fishing. It is looking like we my get some rain this week so we all are crossing our fingers. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; The Steelhead fishing on the upper Klamath river has been pretty good. I have been fishing just below Iron Gate dam and getting 5 to 10 nice Steelhead each trip along with some trout. I have been catching most the fish on plugs but bait has been working well also. The weather has been pretty cold in the mornings but gets warmer in the afternoons. We just need to get some rain here soon the rivers are very low now and will get better fishing with rain. The Smith and Chetco Rivers are very low and clear and this is not helping the fishing any. The fish need the rivers to come up to bring them in so there are not many in the rivers. The Salmon has been very slow and there are just a few Steelhead are showing up. Hopefully we will get some rain this month and if we do it will be some good fishing. Hope to see you on the river.

  Hello fishermen; The fishing on the upper Klamath River has been pretty good this year. The Salmnon fishing was great even with the lower river not doing good the fish made it to the upper and were biting. We caught limits just about every day and many days a lot more then that. A lot days we landed over 20 fish and a few over 30. Just hard to believe the fishing could be that good but it is. Now most of those Salmon have spawned and now the Steelhead are looking to eat all the Salmon eggs that are floating out of the reds. The Steelhead fishing has been great so far this year and should only get better. I have fished and caught Steelhead from Iron gate Dam down to Happy Camp. Some of the best days have been near Happy Camp with both Half pounders and Adult fish willing to bite. The last day I fished down there we landed 8 big fish and lost count of the half pounders we caught. We Caught fish on just about everything we used but glow bugs worked the best. So if you want some action the Klamath is the place to be. The coastal rivers are still looking for rain so they have been slow, but when that rain does come it will be good.    Hello fishermen; Sorry about not having a report for so long computer was down. Anyway the fishing on the lower Klamath river was really slow this year. I Did not catch a boat limit for the month of Sept which is not good at all. The good thing was that the fish that we were catching were good sized the first two I caught for the season were over 25 pounds, great way to start. we had to warm of water in the river and the mouth of the river was plugged up for a lot of the month. This is why the fish did not come into the river in big numbers. Even with the fishing slow on the lower river the upper river has been great. I have been getting limits every day and a lot more that we released. A lot of days we landed over 20 Salmon, with most of them around 15 pounds. So with not catching many fish in the lower river they still made up here to spawn. We are seeing a lot of fish spawning now in the tail outs. so we should start seeing the Steelhead now behind the spawning fish. So I am looking to have a great Steelhead season.    Hello fishermen; Just got back from Alaska and Now I am fishing on the lower Klamath river for the Salmon. It was a long season in Alaska with out phones or Internet, but did catch a lot of Salmon. Now just trying to get the kings here in CA to bite. The water is low and this is making the temp of the river high. The river has been in the high 60's and low 70's, not the greatest for the fish. What we are seeing is that the fish are not coming in very good but just a few at a time. But we are catching some just not limits like we were at this time last year. The thing is that they have to come in sooner or later, hopefully sooner. The good thing is that the fish we are seeing are pretty big. The first two fish I caught for the season were over 20 pounds, great fish for this river. Hope to see you on the river.

   hello fishermen; The fishing on the upper Klamath River has been great this past week. We have been fishing with dry flies so I have seen a lot of fish come to the surface for my flies. It is hard to keep count through the day but I did it for one hour with one guy and he had 68 trout come up and hit his fly......fun to see.....But he only landed 4 of them dam fish are crosseyed. Am done fishing for the Trout and am heading to Alaska now. Will be on the nushigak river for salmon the next few months and then back to the lower Klamath. hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; The fishing has been a little slow for awhile, the weather has been pretty cool these past few weeks. So the water temp is still cold and the fish don't like it so much. We need some hot weather for a few days. This will help bring the bugs out and the fish to bite. I did see my first stone fly yesterday on the river. Not a lot fliying yet but it is just the beginning and will get better. The Salmon flies should start flying when the weather gets warmer and then we will start seeing the the trout come to the surface. So if you want some good fly fishing around the the end of the month and June the upper Klamath River is a good bet. Hope to see you on the river.

  Hello fishermen; Well our seasons on the Smith and Chetco rivers are over now and the only place to catch a good Steelhead is the Umpqua river. This fishing should be good for awhile longer but will slow down with spring coming. I have also been fishing on McCloud lake for trout and doing ok. The Klamath river and lakes are still mudddy so the fishing has been slow. When they clear up it should be pretty good fishing. The weather is just starting to get nice so our fly fishing should start soon as it gets warmer. The Salmon fly and stone fly hatch should start on the upper Klamath River around the end of may and the first of June. So if you want to see some good Trout fishing the upper Klamath should be good soon or McCloud lake will get better also. Hope to see you on the river.

  Hello fishermen; The Smith and Chetco rivers got really low and clear this past few weeks so I have been fishing on the Umpqua River in OR. It has been pretty good for us. The river was in great shape until this last storm put it out for a few days. I have been fishing on the north fork most of the time and we have been catching 4 to 6 Steelhead a trip, not the greatest but good fishing with a lot of big fish. I think we have had a 10 pound average and a few real big ones. My best day for big fish was last week when we had 7 fish in the net and 4 of them where over 12 pounds, one 12lbs, 15lbs, 17.5lbs and one right at 20 pounds. A once in a life time day of fishing. Then a few days later a guy in a group of 4 guys landed one that was 23.5 pounds. This fish is going on the wall of course and is a hard one to beat. It was 40 inches long and had a girth of 20 inches. All these fish we landed are all still out there. We can only keep hatchery fish on this river and all but one that we landed were wild fish. The great part about this river is that its run of Steelhead lasts through April and into May. So if you want a chance at a big steelhead the Umpqua is a good bet. Hope to see you on the river.

Date: Feb. 17th
   Hello fishermen; We are in need for some rain here on the Chetco and Smith Rivers. The rivers are very low and clear, but we are still catching some fish. There are few good spots we have that are holding fish every day and there are a few new fish still moving in on the high tides. With the low water there is not a lot of pressure on the river so not many boats out to move the fish around. The other day we caught and landed 4 fish a great day. Then the next day we only get one bite and one fish. You just do not know what is going to happen on each given day, so you just need to try. You are only one cast away form that big Steelhead. There is some rain that is suppose to be coming in this week so the fishing should be good again soon. Hope to see you on the river.

  Hello fishermen; The fishing on the Smith and Chetco Rivers have slowed down some. We need more rain to get some fish moving around. It will bring the downers down and more new fish to come up. The rivers are very low and are getting clear. We are still catching some fish not getting limits but at least some biters. There is some rain on the way so this will keep our season going through March. I will be fishing on the Umpqua River in March and there is plenty of water up there, in fact it is out at this time so will be fishing good again soon. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; I think I finally got the computer things fixed. Tough when you are just a red neck with all these new things. Anyway the fishing has been ok the rivers, they are getting low and clear and the fish do not bite as well. I have been getting 1 to 3 fish a day and a few other bites. Of course there are a few good days mixed in. just a few days ago we limited out with 2 hatchery and 2 wild fish. The 2 hatchery fish we caught on the last drift of the day at the same time. We get a few doubles a year but do not land them all, this one we did. A great way to end the day. We need rain to bring the river up and I think it is coming tonight and some more at the end of the week. So look for some more good fishing for this next week. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; Sorry about no reports lately but my computer has been down. The fishing has been pretty good the past couple of weeks. I have been getting 2 to 4 fish a day with my best day we hooked 13. That day they just wanted to bite. In one hole alone we hooked 8 and landed 5 of them along with two doubles, we did not land all the fish in the doubles but got at least one of them in. Most the fish we are catching are around 7 to 8 pounds and a few in the teens. I did see one landed that 20 pounds so they are out there. The rivers have been very low and clear and we are pushing to get over a few riffles. Even with these conditions we are catching fish. The best news is that it is raining now and the rivers are going up. So this will bring in more fish and move the ones that are here around. I see some great fishing to come.    Hello fishermen; Well I have started my winter Steelhead season on the coast. I fished the Chetco river today and did great. The morning started out really cold and the fish did not want to bite. I did not get a bite until after 11:00 and then we hooked 8 and landed 7 of them. For how cold it was in the morning I was in a tee shirt in the afternoon. I caught all our fish drifting eggs and a puff ball and the color did not seem to matter. We are suppose to have the same weather for awhile so the fishing should be good.   Hello fishermen; The weather has not been very nice to us. It has been raining A lot and has had the rivers out. The Smith and Chetco rivers have been out for over a week and are now just starting to fish. The Salmon are about done but there are few still out there and there are some Steelhead showing up. This is great news for our season there. With the numbers we are already seeing it looks to a great one. So whatch the weather and get ready to catch some Steelhead. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; Sorry I have not had a report for awhile, I was hunting in Co so just now getting back to fishing. The past few days I have been fly fishing on the upper Klamath river. The fishing has been ok but not great. The Salmnon are all done spawning so the steelhead are off the beds and in the main slots waiting for the food to come to them. The Stone fly has been the best for getting the bigger fish to bite along with a lot of Trout and baby salmon heading out. The fishing should get better with a few storms that are moving in. These storms are going to help us with the Smith and Chetco rivers for the Salmon. They have been getting a few fish in but needed more rain which we got last week and will get more this week . So look for some good fishing for the next few weeks and with the rains the early Steelhead should start on the Smith and Chetco. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; Well our Salmon fishing on the Klamath river is done now and what a season it was. From October 1st until yesterday I was averaging over 20 salmon a day. My slowest day was my last and we still landed 15 fish and lost a lot more, my best day we landed 51. Most of these days were over around 1:00 most people are tired by then. There are a lot of fish still in the river but they are in the spawning mode and are not biting now. But with all the Salmon spawning the trout and Steelhead are going for all the eggs floating out of the nests. This is great for the fly fishing which we are starting now. A single egg pattern is great this time of year and should be good for awhile. The weather is changing now also, winter is here. The mornings are cold and the days are warm with a few days of rain and snow in the mountains. The Smith and Chetco river salmon are out there waiting to come in, just have to have some good rain. When this happens it should be great fishing for awhile and should be some big Salmon. So whatch the weather and if you want some great fly fishing the Klamath is the place.    Hello fishermen; The fishing on the upper Klamatrh river is great. I have been averaging over 20 Salmon a day. I think a slow day is 20 fish and the best day we landed 51 fish. Most the fish have been around 15 pounds but we are starting to see a lot of big ones over 20 pounds showing up. The biggest has been about 30 pounds. The bite has been great from the first thing in the morning to about 1:00 and it slows from there. We are still seeing some new fish coming in each day so we should have another week or so of gbood fishing. I have not seen to many Steelhead yet but should start seeing them soon. Hopefully the Steelhead fishing is as good as the Salmon has been this year. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; I do not know if the fishing could get any better then it is right now on the upper Klamath River. We are catching as many fish as you want to take and as many as you want to release. The past few days I have landed over 20 fish a trip and had on a lot more then that. Yesterday I had one fishermen and he landed 21 himself and today a father and son landed 26 fish. Of course the young man of 13 landed 15 of the fish in the boat. A day he will never forget. We are getting all our fish back bouncing bait and most of the fish have been around 15 pounds and a few over 20 pounds. Today we saw a lot more of the bigger males so there are a lot more still coming. The weather could not be any better either. The mornings are around 40 degrees and the afternoons in the 70's, just bring your sun screen. We should have this good fishing for a few more weeks, so you don't have much more time.    hello fishermen; The fishing on the Klamath River just keeps getting better. I have moved up to the upper river and catching plenty of fish. The limit is still 4 per person and it is not problem to get them. We are letting a lot of fish go and keeping what we want. The past few days I have been catching 15 to 20 fish a day. The fish are in great shape at this time and will be great for smoking the rest of the season. We are getting most our fish back bouncing bait but a few on plugs. The mornings have been slow but once the sun gets up a little they are biting great. So if you want to have a good time and pull on some fish the Klamath river is the place.   Hello fishermen; The Salmon fishing on the lower Klamath River has been great. I have been fishing every day and just about getting my limits all the time. The past few days has been a little tougher with the mouth of the river closed off but it is open now and the fish are pouring in. Most the Salmon we have been catching have been between 10 to 20 pounds with a lot of jacks also. I have not landed a bigger fish yet this year but have had a few of them on. My best day so far this year was just a few days ago and we had 24 fish to the boat before 10:30 in the morning. We had 3 doubles and thought we had 4 on at once but got them all in and one of the fish had eatten two baits. So it just was a tripple. So to say it has been a lot of fun on the river. With all these fish coming in now, the upper river is looking to be great also. So if you don't get to fish the lower river the upper is the place to go. Hope to see you on the river.

    Hello fishermen; The fishing has been pretty good here on the lower Klamath river. today we hooked 15 Salmon and landed 11, not bad for only two people in the boat. The fish were jumping all over but not wanting to bite as well. We caught 5 jacks and 5 adults today with the biggest about 20 pounds and lost another that was bigger, so they are not all that small. This is great fishing for this early in the season so it will only get better as we move into Sept. Hope to see you onthe river.

    Hello fishermen; The Salmon on the lower Klamath River are starting to show up in good numbers. Most boats are catching 4 to 6 fish a day with limits every few days. We are also seeing a few bigger fish for this time of year. They are predicting one of the biggest runs we have seen in a long time and even raised our limit to 4 fish per day, and it does not matter if it is a jack or an adult. In all my years this is the first time they have done this. The fishing will only get better as we get into Sept and even into Oct on the upper river. So the Klamath is a good bet if you want to put some fish in the freezer. Hope to see you on the river.

     Hellofishermen; Well i am now in Alaska fishing on the Kenai River. The Salmon are just not showing up in the river yet. At this time the river is catch and release and no bait, which means we can fish but can not keep a fish unless it is over 55 inches long. That would be a world class fish. It is very hard to get these big Kings to bite without any bait, but there are a few out there that will. The first few weeks I was in Alaska I was fishing on the Nushagak river out of Bristal Bay. The fishing there was great. I was catching on the average 15 Kings a day. The best day with clients was a 30 fish day. Most the fish were around 20 pounds with a few over 30 pounds. When they were moving through they were biting on anything we used. The last group I fished there we landed over 160 Salmon in 7 days a trip of a lifetime. Now fishing on a very slow Kenai river. But good news for our Salmon fishing in CA and OR the fish are coming in great numbers. The fishing in the ocean has been great so this is telling us the fishing in the rivers will also be great. In fact the fish and game has already upped our limits on the Klamath River from 3 fish per person to 4. This is something else when the fish have not even started up the river. They are predicting big numbers. So if you want to get some great fish in the freezer the Klamath is the place to get a lot of Salmon. I will start fishing there in late August and end in late October. I do have a few days open but not many, give me a call. Hope to see you on the river.

  Hello fishermen; The Salmon fly and stone fly were great this year and the fishing was also. The last few days I fished there I was averaging 50 fish landed each day, the last day which was this last friday was the best. We landed 91 trout. This was only the ones we got to the boat, not counting the ones we missed and lost. It was a day that the fishermen will not forget soon. I am now on the Nushagak River in Alaska fishing for salmon. I have only been here for one day and have fished only for a few hours but we have caught a couple of smaller ones. The fish are a little late but should be here any time. So I hope I will have more news in a few days, hopefully with lots of fish.

   Hello fishermen; Well finally we are getting the Klamath River down to a good fishing level. The river is down to 1500 cfs and has been steady for the past few days. The Salmon and Stone fly hatch are coming along great. There are a lot of bugs out and the fish are starting to eat. I have not gotten a lot of big fish yet but a lot of the smaller fish are coming to the suface. Most the fish have been 6 to 10 inches but I do have a few over 15 inches. Should start seeing more big fish when or if the weather gets warmer. It is raining at this time but should get better in a day or two. This fly hatch should run through the middle of the month and should fish good until July. Myself I am heading up to Alaska to Guide on the Nushaka and kenai Rivers and will not be back until August.    Hello fishermen; Been waiting for a long time for the Klamath River to come down. After a about two months it is just about there. It has been up over 3000 cfs and we need it around 1000 cfs, it is at 1600 cfs now. It is fishable just a little high. This is just in time for our Salmon fly hatch which should sart by the end of the month. This is a great time to catch Trout on dry flies. If you have not seen one it is like a small bird hitting the water and makes a big meal for the hungery Trout. I have seen many days with over 50 fish to the net and up to 100. There are times when you can not keep the fly dry with all the smaller fish hitting it. This is not every day with that many but there will be a lot of fish coming to the surface. We do see fish over 20 inches take to the surface for the flies. My biggest in my boat on a dry fly was a nice 24 incher or about 5 pounds. Most the fish are between 8 to 15 inches, with a few smaller and a few bigger. So for some great fly fishing with dries the upper Klamath is a good bet. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; Been driving around a lot lately to catch some fish. This last weekend I was fishing on the Sacramento River for trout and yesterday up into OR on the Umpqua river for the late Steelhead. Lots of miles on my truck but the fishing was worth it. On the Sac we landed over 20 Trout a day on plugs and of course hooked a lot more then that. Most the fish were around 15 to 16 inches but a few close to 20 inches. A lot of fun on light tackle. The best part it was nice out and not raining on us. Now that is a different story on the Umpqua it did rain on us but at least not until the end of the day. But the fishing was just as good. We were fishing for Steelhead and they were biting pretty good. We hooked 13 and landed 8, a great day steelhead fishing just about anywhere. Most the fish were around 8 pounds with the biggest close to 16 pounds. We were fishing just out of Roseburg OR on the north fork. The river was just coming in so there is going to be some great fishing for awhile as long as the rains hold off. So if you want some great fishing the Sacramento for trout and the Umpqua for Steelhead are the places to go. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; Well now we have been getting way to much rain to even fish most rivers. The Smith is getting close to flood stage and the Chetco also. The Chetco river will close on March 31 so we will see it again in the fall for the Salmon. The Umpqua river is also out at this time and is suppose to come up 8 feet. This is just on the north fork, so fishing is at a stand still at this time. But if you are looking to get a few more Steelhead before the end of the season the Umpqua is your best bet when it comes down, if it does. The other thing that will be coming in soon is the Trout fishing on the Sacramento river. This is some great fishing with just about any tackle you want to use. Hope to see you on the river.

  Hello fishermen; The rain was not a lot but did bring the rivers up some and put some color back in them. The fishing has still been good with more downers showing up and still getting a few fresh fish also. I was getting 2 to 5 fish a trip with my best day we landed 8. That day we had 3 fresh fish also so there are a few still coming in. I am now finished up on the Smith and Chetco rivers for the season and I am heading to the Umpqua river. We ended the season with our Steelhead derbies on the Smith and Chertco. The first one I had enough fish to take second place, lost only by 9 inches. The last one was this last weekend and we landed 13 steelhead to take first place. So a real good showing with the new boat. So if you want some good late season Steelhead fishing give me a call and we can get fishing on the Umpqua river. Hope to see you on the river.

   Hello fishermen; Well we are finally getting some rain. Hope it is enough to bring the river up a few feet. The fishing still has been pretty good. I have been on the Chetco river and getting 2 to 4 fish a trip. My best day this last week was on Friday we hooked 8 fish and landed 7 of them. We are now starting to see more of the downers in the river. This is good for more action and fun. I have been getting 1 to 2 fresh fish a trip so there are still more coming in. What helped us this week was the snow melt which keep the river up and good color. this storm is not a big one so it will not put the river out so the fishing should be good through March. Of course we need the Umpqua to come in, the snow melt has brought it up a bunch. So after this week I will be up there the rest of the month. Hope to see you on the river.

  Hello fishermen; Hope you all are having a good Valentines day. We are just watching it rain here on the coast. This is all good we need more water in the river so let it rain. The fishing has been pretty good with the low water we have. We have not gotten much rain since the last big storm so the rivers are down under 1000 cfs. They are now geting pretty clear but the fish are still there and biting. These past few days I have been getting 3 to 4 fish a day with some better and a few that were tough. My best day we hooked 8 Steelhead and landed 5 of them. The biggest for the week was this day also with a 14 pounder. Hopefully it will rain enough to bring the rivers up and bring in more fish. We are starting to see a few downers now so if we get the rain it will bring more fish down and more to catch. hope to see you on the river.
